Our Story

Our story began in 2001 in a small studio in the middle of nowhere. With only one desk and next to no free time, our brand was born. Our passion for unique design and collaboration brought our vision, and products, to life. Our products bring together the finest materials and stunning design to create something very special. We believe in quality, care, and creating unique products that everyone can enjoy. Colorful, creative, and inspired by what we see everyday, each product represents what we love about the world we live in. We hope they’ll inspire you too.

Meb was highly inspired by the Bauhaus Movement's artists and architects. From Mies van der Rohe's works to Kandinsky's paintings, to Aalto's furniture, she acquired a rationalist vision of design by gleaning how they served a utilitarian purpose in a cleverly simple way. Mlouye merges industrial design and fashion, creating functional handbags made of luxurious and honest materials to improve people's lives in small but important ways.

Innovation being the key factor alongside aesthetic, Mlouye has brought unexpected shapes with smart details, functionality and a new luxury feel with a contemporary price point. Istanbul is where Mlouye was born, the company's headquarters is now split between the US, and Turkey.

Our factories, all located in a local environment, have a long tradition of more than 40 years in the outdoor sector. We promote local economy. Expert hands are commissioned by artisan methods and taking care of the smallest detail of manufacturing our products. Our suppliers are also in our area. This condition helps us reduce our CO2 emissions while being in control of our raw materials and suppliers.
